Monica May-Dunn, CEO Monica May-Dunn is the Owner and CEO of Arizona Escrow and Financial Corporation (AEF), Arizona’s premier provider of business escrow services since 1976. With over 30 years of industry leadership, Monica has expanded AEF’s service portfolio to include commercial real estate transactions, holding accounts, and specialized financial services, positioning the company as a trusted partner for complex property transfers.
Monica joined AEF in 1990, quickly rising through the ranks from Assistant Controller to VP/CFO by 2000. In 2023, she became the sole owner of the company, cementing her legacy of innovation and strategic growth.
Recognizing the industry’s evolving landscape, she completed the Fintech Frameworks, Applications, and Strategies course at UC Berkeley, ensuring AEF remains at the forefront of innovation.
Under her leadership, AEF achieved record-breaking milestones, including enhanced operational efficiency, increased transaction volume, and a headquarters relocation to the prestigious Camelback business corridor, making 2022 the most successful year in the company’s history.
Recognized as one of AZRE Magazine’s “Most Influential Women in Commercial Real Estate 2024,” Monica is a passionate advocate for economic growth and education. She serves on advisory boards, actively engages in civic organizations like WATT Phoenix and the Greater Phoenix Chamber, and mentors the next generation of leaders. Recently, she launched Practical and Positive Leadership, a podcast designed to inspire collaboration and innovation in the financial services industry.
When she’s not driving AEF’s continued success, Monica enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her two grandchildren, embodying her commitment to balancing professional achievement with personal fulfillment.
